Strength.

I love my life. I love the people in my life. I am grateful every morning when I wake up that another day has begun. :) That being said... I have been going through some definite ups and downs the past 2 years or so, unfortunately... in some areas, it has been mostly downs... I have taken the necessary steps to climb out of these little funky funks, and some days feel like they are never going to end and I'm not ever going to get out of it! Looking back though, I am amazed at how much progress really has been made. little day by day baby steps... progress is progress, even it it's slow right?  I don't want to and won't bore you all with the darker details... but what I will do is leave you with my new mantra. My newest outlook on life.

Isn't it beautiful??

written by an Indian Chief Tecumseh from the Shawnee tribe.

So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart.
Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours.
Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life.
Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people.
Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide.
Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place.
Show respect to all people and grovel to none.
When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself.
Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way.
Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

I love that quote! Funky funks are the worst :( I read a book after Rowan died that really helped during the really dark days. It's called "30 Lessons for the Living." Just thought I'd pass it along.

Very wise words, and I add enjoy each day, make each day count, relationships with family and friends are the most important...
think before acting or speaking - will this add to or take away from the relationship.
Life is so fleeting, learn, laugh, love and make sure to have quiet, down time to savor it all....Remember you can only control your own actions, not the actions of others..just how you'll react to those actions....
Love you tons....
Mom :)
