This song is about her grandfather, who was on the edge of passing away. He and her grandmother were married super young and had been madly in love ever since then. Her grandmother would sit and hold his hand as he was weak and frail in the hospital bed. Lady Gaga came in to say her final goodbyes, and she had to help her grandma out of the room so that he could peacefully pass away... she said that he had too much of that italian pride that he didn't want his sweetheart to watch him actually go. Gaga then had some dinner and drinks (tequila) with her father, they laughed and cried together and ended up writing this little number... enjoy. :)
I love this piano version, even better than the original. I love her passion, AMAZING vocals, and that even though there are probably 7 people in that room, she puts on a concert worthy performance. way to go Mother Monster!!
